Office Manager/Proctor (Full-Time & Part-Time)


Position Overview

A rapidly growing Information Technology, Training, Consulting and Software Development Company in Reston is looking for an Office Manager / Office Assistant position. The company provides professional hands-on computer and IT training and consulting to prepare the clients with the skills and knowledge needed for today’s competitive job market. The company is an Authorized Test Provider for Pearson VUE, Prometric and Kryterion tests and is growing very rapidly. We are looking for an Office Manager / Office Assistant position to provide support for day-to-day office activities and test proctoring activities.


Duties & Responsibilities

    Administer PearsonVUE,  Prometric, Kryterion and other required tests

Verify identity, process log and sign-in sheets and admit test candidates

Capture and process information of walk-in test candidates

Process test taker’s data and admit the candidates to the secure testing room.

Monitor students and candidates taking the tests and enforce required policies firmly & courteously

Maintain required records in filing system

Answer telephones from clients and test takers seeking information on training & testing, training schedules

Communicate courteously with students, potential clients, and general public

Receive, receipt, and deposit monies for testing & training

Maintain and communicate the Training and Testing Schedules

Send out emails to potential clients informing them about upcoming trainings

Prepare and manage correspondence, reports and documents

Implement and maintain office systems, test systems

Communicate verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information

Liaison with internal and external contacts for business development.

Organize and assist with internal and external marketing events

Send out emails and newsletters to potential clients informing them about upcoming trainings

Lead the social networking and media relations using LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

Organize and lead the monthly meet-up groups and other social events.

Assist with student outreach, business development and lead capture and follow-up.

Actively do outbound call to new clients to get them interested in our offerings.

Qualifications & Skills

Excellent Customer Relation & Excellent Communication skills.

Dependable and accountable within areas of responsibilities

Experience working with adults and professionals

Excellent Microsoft Word and Powerpoint skills

Requires basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience

Excellent experience in answering telephones

Experience crafting email messages, flyers and course brochures.

Flexible and willing to Willingness to work weekends

Account Executive (Field Sales Rep)

The Sales Representative is an individual who has proven experience selling products or services related to IT trainings, workforce development services, or consulting services in person and via the phone. This sales professional will have demonstrated success in transactional sales in the Federal Government and Commercial Sector. The ideal candidate will be a high energy, positive person with strong consultative sales skills, who will be able to find opportunities around IT trainings, IT certifications and workforce development services and be able to register students in publically-offered, Open Enrollment Training Classes. The Sales Representative will sell a wide range of classroom-based trainings, workforce development services and cyber security consulting services. This sales professional will be comfortable with a role that requires flexibility, creativity and change – but that also requires careful assessment and documentation of ‘what works’ – and a willingness to repeat and hone these best practices with consistency and attention to detail. Job Responsibilities:

Target new and existing customers via the telephone and in-person to sell a wide range of IT training, certifications and workforce related products and services primarily around cyber security, cloud computing, networking, project management and data analytics.

Manage, maintain and grow a territory that has been developed over the last several years in the training industry.

Learn the workforce development course offerings from our partners such as CompTIA, EC Council,  Axelos, Exin, FITSI , ISACA, ISC2, Cisco etc.

Develop and cultivate sales leads from new and existing contacts using the telephone and email communications.

Aggressively drive new business and establish solid relationships within the existing accounts.

Employ a consultative selling approach while maintaining established metrics for performance standards in overall activity and quota achievement.

Develop a target list and develop new customers – must be a sales hunter and experienced relationship manager creating new revenue streams within existing accounts as well as new accounts.

Achieve assigned quota for both number of students registering for Intellectual Point courses as well as program sales within a territory.

Develop and maintain key decision maker relationships within the accounts.

Attend tradeshow and strategic events to help grow customer awareness and sales growth.

Accurately provide monthly forecasts against bookings, revenue, and margin goals.

Work closely with the leadership team to drive new business opportunities.

Expand share of market and revenue with existing and prospective clients by asking probing questions designed to identify their needs and requirements with the goal or capturing more registrations per call.

Ensure that the values and personality of our company and brand are consistently and effectively reflected in every interaction with the student or prospective student.

Develop full understanding of product and service offerings and marketing promotions.


Successful candidates must have at least 5 - 7 years of selling experience in the role of Inside Sales and/or Field Sales preferably for an IT Training and services company.

Candidates must understand the agency workforce development and compliance initiatives including DoD 8570.1 M framework, NIST NICE framework, etc. and be able to map the course offerings to those agency mandates.

Candidates must have a good knowledge of the new developments in the fields of cyber security, cloud computing, big data analytics and mobility.  

Candidates must be goal oriented, self-motivated and have a desire to be a part of a growing team; which is energetic, talented and competitive.

Candidates will need to be comfortable selling trainings and workforce development and consulting services at all levels of an organization, able to sustain a high level of activity and thrive in an environment where accountability is required and individual contribution is the key to financial reward.

Tenacious in building new business relationships while securing customer loyalty

Information Technology knowledge/experience required

IT/Business Training Industry knowledge/experience preferred

DoD 8570.1 Workforce Development knowledge required.

Successful sales background and experience selling to the enterprises/agencies required

Knowledge of outbound calling, cold calling necessary.

Strong knowledge of target prospecting, handling objections, and consistent and thorough follow-up required.
